This month, we concentrated on reliability, creation speed, and everyday usability across the Steve ecosystem. The release delivers major improvements to Vibe Studio, an upgraded foundation for AI agents, a reintroduction of AI PM, deeper capabilities in AI Book Mind, a refreshed mobile experience, and a set of quality and infrastructure updates that make Steve faster, more predictable, and easier to build with every day.

Vibe Studio

Vibe Studio remains the primary workspace for building and shipping AI applications. The latest release delivers meaningful performance gains, with a quicker-loading editor and an upgraded engine that interprets context more accurately. Teams can move from first draft to published app with fewer steps and greater confidence, which translates into faster iteration cycles and stronger production outcomes.

Vibe Studio now utilizes a more agentic approach, which contributes to superior application results and enhanced performance. This design broadens integration options without sacrificing governance, auditability, or operational clarity. The new “Go To Preview” button lets you jump directly from a conversation to a live app preview, closing the gap between concept, test, and iteration.

On the deployment side, production setup is streamlined with plug-and-play authentication, built-in analytics, and Firestore agents. These integrations still require standard configuration, including secrets management and environment setup. Once live, every public app receives a dedicated page that is easy to share and discover, improving reach and visibility.

The App Simulator anchors the build experience by staying visible as you work, enabling continuous real-time interaction with your app while edits are applied and validated. Screens refresh quickly and navigation remains stable, making it straightforward to confirm changes in context without losing your place. You can adjust a setting, observe the result, and continue refining in one flow. This shortens the time between intent and confirmation and helps teams fine-tune logic with fewer steps. The experience is especially useful in the final stages of development, when small adjustments matter and every detail counts.

AI PM

AI PM is reintroduced this month as a smarter way to plan, organize, and manage projects within Steve. The new experience emphasizes clarity and structure, allowing teams to define goals, create actionable plans, and track progress with fewer manual steps. It integrates naturally into existing workflows, enabling a seamless path from idea to execution without requiring external tools.

AI PM also benefits from under-the-hood performance improvements, resulting in quicker response times and more accurate task generation. Teams using AI PM now spend less time formatting and more time building.

AI Book Mind

AI Book Mind continues to expand as a place to explore and engage with books through AI. The upgraded experience introduces two new AI Book Mind apps that deepen interaction and understanding. Readers can now generate insights, compare ideas, and engage with summaries that better reflect the nuance of each text.

This release focuses on enhancing discovery and comprehension. Users can discuss titles, produce draft reviews, and surface key insights in real time. The update also lays the groundwork for curated collections and improved search visibility, making it easier to find relevant books for learning, analysis, and creative inspiration.

Steve Chat

Steve Chat in this release centers on performance and workflow enhancements. A new vector search layer selects only the most relevant actions from each prompt, rather than loading the entire action set into the system context. This reduces processing overhead and improves action execution speed by an estimated 20 to 30 percent.

Core workflows have been strengthened. Connectors can be removed cleanly, and metadata such as names and icons is handled with greater consistency. The conversation experience is more responsive, with messages appearing promptly, long threads remaining stable, and context maintained so follow-ups progress naturally.

Work on Steve Chat V2 is underway. The team is testing new interaction models and performance improvements and will adopt them where they deliver clear benefits over the current version.

Mobile

The mobile experience continues to advance with a focus on consistency, speed, and usability. Navigation is cleaner, animations are smoother, and common actions are faster to access. The new mobile layout brings clarity to each screen, making it easier to switch between conversations, check builds, and manage notifications.

A toggle to choose between the older and newer mobile layouts is being tested and will be finalized after resolution of a previously reported bug. Authentication on mobile has also been redesigned to provide a more stable sign-in process, ensuring quick re-entry when switching devices or accounts.

AI Email

AI Email turns a high-volume inbox into a predictable workspace by providing fast access to threads, reliable search, and smooth scrolling so daily triage feels controlled and efficient. Inbox work is calmer and more consistent. Threads open quickly, search remains dependable, and scrolling through long conversations is smooth.

AI assistance begins streaming sooner, reducing time to first insight during triage. Synchronization runs quietly in the background to keep folders current as you move between messages. Large mailboxes stay manageable, and returning to an earlier thread is as quick as opening a new one.

Infrastructure and Platform

Our infrastructure and platform work this month centered on performance, consistency, and long-term scalability.

Push Notifications

Push notifications are now live across the Steve ecosystem. This enhancement enables faster awareness of updates, builds, and app events without requiring users to stay inside a browser tab. Notifications are designed to be lightweight, actionable, and easy to manage from mobile or desktop.

These updates strengthen the foundation for future releases and ensure that Steve remains responsive, consistent, and reliable at scale.

Growth Snapshot

Steve ended October with continued momentum, reaching 72,500 total users, an increase of 12,500 from September. Adoption remained broad based across startups, independent developers, and enterprise organizations. Teams continued to integrate Steve more deeply into production workflows, which supported steady onboarding and higher sustained use across active accounts. Engagement patterns indicate that new users are moving from initial evaluation into recurring usage more quickly, contributing to the overall increase in total users.

October recorded 5,500 new apps created in Vibe Studio on Steve. The composition of activity reflects stronger retention and a larger subscribed user base, with teams allocating more time to iterating on existing projects and expanding active deployments. This shift coincided with lower customer acquisition costs and more efficient conversion from trial to paid usage, supporting a healthier contribution from our existing community of builders.

Looking Ahead

In November, we’ll continue to focus on refinement, consistency, and the everyday details that make creation feel effortless. Expect faster load times across all environments, tighter integration between AI tools, and new capabilities for collaborative building. Our goal remains the same: to make Steve the most fluid and reliable place to create, launch, and scale intelligent applications.

Stay tuned for next month’s update, and thank you for building with us.
