This August, we’re excited to share a major step forward in how Steve helps teams build, launch, and scale AI-powered products. From deep architectural improvements in Vibe Studio, to critical user-requested features across the broader platform, we’ve focused on performance and flexibility for our users. This month also marks a structural change in how users can access Steve: solo builders can now dive directly into Vibe Studio as a standalone service, while enterprise teams gain full access to the complete Steve experience.

With a more modular platform and a smarter infrastructure foundation, August positions Steve as not just a builder tool, but a highly adaptable ecosystem for engineering AI-native products.
Focus, Build, and Deploy with the New Vibe Studio
Vibe Studio has always been at the center of Steve's platform, but now, it stands tall on its own. Users can now access Vibe Studio as an independent product offering, designed specifically for developers who want a laser-focused environment to create and deploy AI-native applications quickly and efficiently.

Whether you're exploring Steve for the first time or you’re a seasoned engineer looking for a fast lane to prototyping, Vibe Studio offers immediate value with no platform overhead. Just log in, start building, and ship.
For teams ready to take things further, the full Steve experience — including AI Task management, AI Email, Steve Chat, platform-wide integrations, deployment assistance, and analytics — is available as part of the Steve Enterprise plan. This layered structure ensures everyone gets exactly what they need, with room to grow as their needs evolve.
Highlights from Vibe Studio this Month:
Faster Build Enhancements
Live editing and build performance have been significantly upgraded as build times are now reduced by up to 50%. This upgrade helps accelerate testing, refining, and overall iteration cycles.

Enhanced Build Initialization Architecture
Architecture improvements have reduced friction during setup and project creation, enabling smoother transitions from idea to prototype with fewer manual steps.

More Reliable Infrastructure
We’ve migrated Vibe Studio’s backend to more stable stacks, resulting in improved uptime, fewer build errors, and faster overall performance.

Custom Model Selection
Users can now toggle between multiple model backends based on their specific performance or budget preferences, including high-speed LLMs or more context-aware ones.

Reduce Error Rate
We've significantly reduced build failure rates through advanced algorithmic improvements and proprietary model training. Our approach leverages in-house engineering expertise to develop custom datasets, resulting in more reliable and accurate code generation

Intelligent Prompt Engineering Automation
To reduce build failure rates, we’ve introduced prompt pattern detection that automatically improves faulty inputs before they cause issues.

Secure Secrets Management
Enterprise-grade secrets handling allows you to safely manage API keys and environment variables without exposing sensitive data in your app logic.

Pub Dev Dependency Support
You can now install and manage multiple Dart and Flutter packages directly from Pub Dev using a simple chat command. This makes it faster and more intuitive to customize your builds without leaving Vibe Studio.

Play Store Deployment
With one-click integration, you can now publish your Android apps directly to the Google Play Store. A critical step forward for mobile teams ready to launch.

Please note that Apple App Store deployment is not yet available and will be released next month as part of our continued focus on full mobile ecosystem support.
Elevating How You Build with Vibe Studio
This month, we focused on elevating the overall user experience in Vibe Studio by closely observing how builders interact with the platform. Through usage patterns, direct feedback, and hands-on testing, we identified key areas where the interface could be made faster, clearer, and more intuitive.

As the central environment for building AI-native applications, Vibe Studio needs to feel seamless at every step, from writing prompts to deploying builds. That’s why we rolled out a series of design and front-end improvements aimed at making it easier to navigate, more responsive during high activity, and visually refined for both new and experienced users.
Updates include smoother loading sequences, improved interface responsiveness, more intuitive build prompts, and subtle layout changes that reduce friction during common tasks. These changes reflect our commitment to continuous improvement and a builder-first mindset, helping every user go from idea to product with greater confidence and clarity.
Smarter Features Across the Steve Ecosystem

Beyond Vibe Studio, we’ve rolled out critical upgrades across the platform to deliver more control, personalization, and compliance for both users and admins.
Cookie Banner Integration
Your public-facing builds now include a GDPR-compliant cookie banner, increasing transparency and user trust for all external-facing products.

Dark Mode Icon Refresh
All system icons have been polished for a more cohesive look in dark mode, elevating visual consistency across the interface.

Theme Selection
The foundation for theme customization is now live, with users able to toggle visual themes in-app. More personalization options will arrive in the coming months.

Platform Cost Reduction Initiative
Thanks to backend optimization and smarter model routing, we’ve significantly reduced the compute cost associated with building in Vibe Studio. These savings are already reflected in the pricing structure for active users.

Full Account Deletion Flow
In response to user requests and platform privacy commitments, users now have full control to permanently delete their Steve accounts and data.

The Steve Chrome Extension: Now in Beta
We’re also testing a lightweight Chrome extension that connects Steve's AI capabilities to your browser. Summarize articles, generate responses, or search across multiple tabs — all without leaving your workflow. Currently in closed beta, the extension will roll out more broadly in September.

Growth Snapshot
As of July 31, Steve surpassed 35,500 total active users, building on the momentum from previous months and highlighting continued adoption by fast-moving startups, solo developers, and enterprise teams.
Total User Growth
Nearly 30% increase month-over-month from June's total of 35,500.

Thank you for being part of the Steve community. Whether you're here to build something fast or scale something big, we’re committed to helping you do it better, every month.
Stay tuned, September is going to be our biggest release yet!
